Wallace Silversmiths 1981 Silver Sleigh Bell Christmas Ornament, Eleventh in a Limited Edition of the annual series of highly collectible silverplate bell ball ornaments. There is a raised design festive band that features lovely horse drawn sleighs prancing around the center band, and the date “1981”. The bell is marked at the bottom “Wallace, 1981” and has the Wallace trademark symbol. I think this bell is called “Dashing Through The Snow”?
This highly collectible bell ornament measures about 8 1/4” in circumference all the way around the middle. There is a metal ring going through a post on top for hanging the bell decoration. It measures about 2 1/2” tall including the post on top (not including the ring). The bell makes a lovely ringing sound.
I do Not have the original box or the paper tag card for this silver plate bell ornament.
It is in excellent vintage condition, with very minor use scratches that you would expect in an item that was lovingly used over the years. The buyer may want to polish the decoration a little more.
