Wallace Silversmiths 1982 Silver Sleigh Bell Christmas Ornament, Twelfth in a Limited Edition of the annual series of highly collectible silverplate bell ball ornaments. There is a raised design festive band that features winter mittens and cap, ice skates, sled, hockey stick, and skies with holly leaves going around the center band, and the date “1982”. The bell is marked at the bottom “Wallace” and has the Wallace trademark symbol.
This highly collectible bell ornament measures about 8 1/4” in circumference all the way around the middle. There is a metal ring going through a post on top for hanging the bell decoration. It measures about 2 1/2” tall including the post on top (not including the ring). The bell makes a lovely ringing sound.
I do Not have the original box or the paper tag card for this silver plate bell ornament.
It is in excellent vintage condition, with minor use scratches that you would expect in an item that was lovingly used over the years. You can see a scratch/scuff area above the holly leaves between the mittens and ice skates in the last close-up photo that did not polish out with gentle polishing.
