Towle Silversmiths 1982 Silver Sleigh Bell Christmas Ornament, silverplate ball bell. There is a lovely raised festive design that features glowing Christmas candles going around the top half of the bell, and “Christmas 1982” is incised or engraved at the top. The bell is marked at the bottom “Towle, 3245, E. P. C. A.”.
This highly collectible bell ornament measures about 8 inches in circumference all the way around the middle. There is a metal ring going through a post on top for hanging the bell decoration. The bell measures about 3 inches tall.
The bell is in nice vintage condition, with minor use scratches that you would expect in an item that was lovingly used over the years. There are quite a few small discolored spots in the metal going around the middle just under the seam of the bell, and I have included some close-up photos of these for you to review. These blemishes did not come out with gentle polishing, and may be from manufacturing, or may be silver wear?
The original box is included with this Towle 1982 bell. The box is in very nice condition, with a tiny bit of edge and corner wear, and minor stains. There is no paperwork with this bell.
