Vintage Simons Brothers Sterling Silver Sewing Thimble with panels going all around the bottom half, and the narrow panels have some scrolling designs and alternating blank panels. There are 4 wider panels, one of which has engraved initials which are hard to read – maybe “E. G.”? One of the wider panels has an impressed #2. The other 2 larger panels are blank.
This lovely vintage thimble is marked up inside “Sterling” and has the Simon Brothers “S” in a shield hallmark logo, and it says “Made in U.S.A.”. The thimble measures about 7/8 inch in height, and measures about ¾ inch across the bottom opening.
This sterling silver thimble is in excellent used condition, with a few minor scratches that you would expect in a vintage item that was loving used over the years. I gently polished the thimble by hand, and the buyer may choose to polish it some more.
