This is a lovely vintage 1987 Avon “Soft Sculpture” Necklace and “Soft Sculptured” pierced earrings in goldtone metal. These Avon jewelry pieces come with the original boxes.
The necklace measures about 16” in length. The earrings measure about 1 ¼” inches by about 1 inch. The earrings have surgical steel posts. I do not see any Avon manufacturer’s marks on the pieces.
The boxes are dated “1987”, and the boxes says “Avon Products, Inc., Distr., New York, N.Y. 10019”. The boxes have general cleaning instructions for Avon jewelry on the back. The boxes are in good shape, with a little wear and tear here and there, and maybe a little dust or a tiny bit of dirt and a minor bend or crease from being packed away. The boxes have small spots of white paper wear on the front where it looks like a sticker or label was removed.
This Avon Soft Sculpture necklace and Soft Sculptured pierced earrings are in excellent vintage condition. They came from an estate of an Avon distributor, and they were packed away for many years. It is my guess that they were not worn (?), but I cannot say this for sure, and I will describe them as “used, or gently worn”.
This Avon gold colored metal necklace and earrings would be a great accessory for your wardrobe, or they would make a lovely gift for someone special!
