This is a lovely vintage 1986 Avon “Blue Deco” pin or brooch, with what I would call red teardrops on each side which are set in goldtone accents, with a dark blue oval around an open center.
The brooch measures about 1 7/8 inches by about 1 1/8 inch. I do not see any Avon manufacturer’s marks on this Avon pin.
The box is dated “1986”, and says “Avon Products, Inc., Distr., New York, N.Y. 10019”. The box has cleaning instructions for this Avon jewelry piece on the back. The box is in good shape, with a little wear and tear here and there, and maybe a little dust or a tiny bit of dirt and a minor bend or crease from being packed away. The box has some small spots of white paper wear here and there where it looks like stickers or a label was removed. There is small ink line on the box front.
This Avon Blue Deco pin brooch is in excellent vintage condition. This jewelry came from an estate of an Avon distributor, and it was packed away for many years. It is my guess that it was not worn (?), but I cannot say this for sure, and I will describe it as “used, or gently worn”.
This elegant Avon Blue Deco pin would be a great accessory for your wardrobe, or it would make a lovely gift for someone special!
