This is an Artisan designed and handcrafted large amethyst cabochon pendant, with wire wrapped sterling silver. The oval polished amethyst stone has a unique blend of lilac purple shades, with the sterling silver showcasing the natural beauty of the colors within the amethyst. This interesting and creative jewelry piece was handmade by a Missouri artist who put extreme thought and care into the design and creation of this special one-of-a-kind piece.
The silver bale on top will accommodate a necklace chain (see photo with ruler for bale measurement). NO chain is included with this pendant. The pendant measures about 1 7/8 inches in length, including the sterling silver bale, and is about 1 1/2 inches across the widest part, including the delicate curled outstretched silver wires. It comes with a gold color cardboard gift box.
There are no artist signature marks or sterling silver marks on this piece. I see a few normal artist tool marks or tiny scratches (see photos) on the back sterling wires.
This is an exceptional oval amethyst pendant, framed within wonderfully detailed wire wrapped sterling silver.
