Vintage MIKRO 72 LWS-CZAPLA plastic model airplane kit, box, and instruction sheet. Communication observation aircraft kit from Poland this model aircraft kit is 1/72 scale. Date on instructions is 1976. Instructions are mostly in what I am guessing is Polish, with interesting English paragraph on history of LWS – CZAPLA which says the actual WWII era military plane was produced in 1939. History says “During the Nazi invasion of Poland the Czaplas performed reconnoitering flights and maintained communications between the headquarters of the Polish armies” plus more history. Green plastic model parts and decals still sealed in original plastic package. Box measures about 7 ½ inches by about 5 ¼ inches and is yellow and darkened with age and has some bends and creases. This would make a great addition to your collection, or a wonderful holiday gift for that special collector.
