Chicago Burlington Quincy Railroad CB&QRR vintage padlock steel metal old R.R. hardware. I am guessing that this might be a switch lock? CB&QRR on the front lock plate, made in U.S.A. on back. This railway line was called the Burlington Route or the Q in Midwestern U.S. with main connections in Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Denver. Measures about 3 inches by about 2 inches. It is locked, with no key. Padlock in “As Found” condition and no guarantee if it will open or work. A little silver color, age darkening, scratches, minor nicks, dents or pits here and there. I don’t know the age. An unusual addition to your vintage railroad lock or hardware collection, or a great gift for that special collector!
