Vintage 1980’s Avon Santa’s Sleigh big wooden holder for candy, plant, or maybe Christmas cards. This cheerful Santa with sleigh is painted in festive Holiday red and green with yellow trim, and shows Santa Claus, a reindeer, Christmas tree, and holiday gift on the front. This Holiday decoration comes with the original box.
The sleigh measures about 10 inches in length, by about 6 ¼ inches tall, by about 3 3/8 inches in width.
I do not see any Avon manufacturer’s marks on the sleigh. The box says “Created in Taiwan Exclusively for Avon products, Inc., Distr. New York, N.Y. 10019”.
This Avon Santa’s Sleigh came from the estate of an Avon Distributor, and was packed away for many years. It was probably never used, but I don’t know for sure so I will call it “gently used”. It is in excellent condition, with a little minor edge wear and tear here and there from being packed away. I see a small indentation (not damage) on the front of the reindeer, and I believe it came from the factory like that (?), and it does not detract (see close up photo of reindeer).
The original box is also in nice condition, with a little bit of wear and tear from age and from being packed away. This sleigh is not dated, and the other items from this estate were from the 1980’s, so I am guessing that this one dates to the 1980’s, but I do not know the manufacturing date for sure? This vintage Avon St. Nick and reindeer sleigh would make a great holiday decoration for your home!
