Vintage 1987 Avon Purse Reflections Mirror, which folds up to fit nicely in your purse. It has a pretty red vinyl-like plastic covering, and opens to reveal a round mirror on one side and a pocket window that allows for a photograph to be inserted.
This Avon Purse Reflections Mirror measures about 4 inches by 4 inches when folded up, and is about 8 inches by 4 inches when unfolded open. The photo frame window opening clear plastic area measures about 2 ¾ inches across by about 2 5/8 inches up and down. The mirror measures about 2 ¾ inches across. I don’t know if the mirror is mirror-glass (?), or maybe some other reflective material.
I do not see any Avon manufacturer’s marks on the mirror. The box is dated 1987, and says “Made in China Exclusively for Avon products, Inc., Distr. New York, N.Y. 10019”.
This Avon Purse Reflections Mirror came from the estate of an Avon Distributor, and was packed away for many years. It was still wrapped in the original tissue paper, and I am almost certain that it had never been opened until I opened it for the photographs? The mirror and the original box are in excellent condition. This vintage Avon Mirror would make a great holiday gift for someone special!
