Vintage 1988 Avon “Fireplace Friends” porcelain or ceramic tealight candle holder. This is a charming Christmas holiday candleholder, with a sweet sleeping bear cuddled up with his teddy bear in front of the fireplace mantle, a stocking hung on the mantle, and an antique clock on the fireplace mantle.
The candle holder is made of porcelain or china or ceramic material. It comes with the box, and has one bayberry fragrance tea light candle included
The fireplace mantle measures about 3 ½” inches across the front, by about 3 ½ inches tall (including the clock), and is about 3 ½” deep (including the candle holder). The candleholder is not dated and is not marked “Avon”, and the date “1988” is on the paper insert that is about “Avon, Important Candle Burning Instructions”.
The Avon Fireplace Friends candle holder is in excellent vintage condition. The box has a little wear and tear here and there, and there is a spot of paper wear on top of the box where a sticker or label was removed. The bayberry tealight candle has not been burned, however, it is about 20 years old, and I cannot guarantee the strength of the fragrance, due to the age.
This Avon Fireplace Friends candle holder came from the estate of an Avon Distributor, and was packed away for many years.
