Java Naturelle Bourjois face powder vintage makeup for ladies of beauty. I estimate this is from around 1910 to 1920s? Manufactured in New York, the round cardboard paper box contains 2 ¾ ounces of powder. The lovely makeup box has gold color edges on the labels, along with tan, green and red colors and black lettering. The estimated 100 year old cosmetic powder box measures about 3 ¼ inches across by about 1 3/8 inches tall. The top slides off to reveal the powder still covered by plastic inside. It appears to be unused? The side label says “This powder adheres to the skin and imparts a smooth and velvety appearance”. Box is in great condition with a tiny little bit of paper wear and tear here and there, a little dirt and minor stains, and a tiny little bit of something stuck to the bottom which I did not attempt to remove (see photos), and some hand written letters/numbers on the bottom.
