Beautiful 1987 Royal Windsor Christmas plate entitled "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day". Charming winter scene with carolers, village, and children ice skating. Sixth Edition in the annual limited edition Christmas carol plate collection. This one is from an original painting by the famed American Folk Artist, Joan Landis. This series was an official issue of the United States Historical Society. This plate is numbered "4336" out of a limited edition of 10,000. It comes in the original box, and has the original Certificate of Authenticity. The plate measures about 9 1/4 inches across. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The box has some tape marks, and a small tear on one side (photo). Someone wrote the plate name and date in ink on one end of the box. The plate is marked "not for service of food" on the back.
