Baker Manchester Spartan sterling silver spoon pierced gold wash bowl, pattern first produced in 1898. Not sure if it is a nut serving scoop or bon bon spoon or maybe a sugar sifter? Flatware marked pat. March 6, 1900 sterling with Baker Manchester birds and M in shield hallmark on back of handle. Monogram letter on front handle, maybe a C. Unusual helmet shape on handle tip, and lovely open work in bowl. Spoon measures about 5 1/2 inches long. Previously owned from an estate in excellent vintage used condition with a only minor scratches that you would expect in a vintage silverware piece that was lovingly used over the years. I gently polished the spoon by hand, and the buyer may decide to polish it more. There are some white spots in the photos that are camera glare. This highly collectible and hard to find pattern would be a wonderful addition to your dinner table or great gift for that special collector.
